Apple Car Play/Android Auto

Smartphone integration into existing vehicle infotainment systems have become some of the most popular new features in car tech. With the release of Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto systems, car buyers can now connect their smartphones directly to their vehicle and use existing displays to control navigation, audio, and other car-friendly smartphone apps without the safety risks of smartphone use while driving.

Now available on most new Acura models, Apple CarPlay® is the best way to connect your Apple iPhone to your new Acura. Follow this easy step-by-step guide, or watch the video above to pair your Apple iPhone to your new Acura with Apple CarPlay.

  • Make sure Apple CarPlay® and Siri are activated on your Apple iPhone
  • Connect your Apple iPhone to your Acura USB port using an Apple-approved lightning-to-USB cable. The USB port is usually located behind a cover in the center console
  • When prompted about Apple CarPlay® on your Acura multimedia screen, select 'Always Enable'
  • Your Apple iPhone and Acura are now connected via Apple CarPlay®. Your Acura multi-media display will now switch to Apple CarPlay® when connected to your Apple iPhone through USB.

Acura has embraced this new technology, and currently has Apple CarPlay® integrated in the following vehicles:

2019 MDX, all trim levels
